On the 28th October 2026, Prof. Baumert received the RenĂ© Turpin Award from Fondation de l’Institut de France, AcadĂ©mie des Sciences. This award recognises his work on unraveling the mechanisms by which fibrosis progresses to cancer, in particular in the liver.
