

PROJECT MANAGER
The Institute for Viral and Liver Diseases (Inserm U1110), University of Strasbourg, France, is looking for a project manager. Through a highly ambitious translational research program, the Institute, headed by Prof. Thomas Baumert, aims at pushing knowledge to new limits in the quest for novel therapeutics for liver disease and cancer. The successful candidate will be pivotal in the management of highly prestigious and highly ambitious international research programs (e. g. ERC AdG, ANR RHU France2030, Horizon EU), contributing to the operational governance of the Institute within a top-level environment of the University of Strasbourg.

Your Missions:
The project manager will manage the institute’s ongoing research programs together with the leadership of the institute and support the direction in the operational functioning of the institute. Your principal missions will be:
- Scientific Project Management
– Participate in the analysis of research calls for projects
– Fundraising by responding to European and US calls
– Contribute to the writing and presentation of project proposals
– Interface with funding agencies and assist in contract negotiation
– Coordinate project deliverables, and annual reports and meetings
– Develop and maintain dissemination operation for the projects
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - Support to the Institute’s leadership
– Coordinate the drafting of activity reports and presentations
– Contribute to organize conferences, workshops, and dissemination activities
– Represent the Institute in various external communication operations
– Ensure relationships and communication with unit stakeholders and international partners - Communication
– Develop communication strategies with leadership
– Manage communication platforms of the institute (website, social media)
– Maintain relationships with press services
– Facilitate internal communication of the Institute
Your Profile:
You are highly motivated and have a background in research and development in biomedical sciences (ideally PhD degree) with experience in project management in either academia or industry. You are open-minded, a team player (able to communicate and work within an international team as well as independently to a high standard), highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize. You are able to problem solve and troubleshot and to adapt and be flexible in various domains. You are able to draft high-quality proposals, presentations and reports in collaboration with our team. You have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and French.
