Clinical Research Associate – Preclinical Development of Liver Disease Therapeutics

The Inserm Institute for Viral and Liver Diseases, University of Strasbourg France, is looking for a talented and driven clinical research assistant engineer to join Prof. Baumert’s highly ambitious DELIVER project, funded by the RHU-5 program (Recherche Hospitalo-Universitaire en santé) of the ANR French agency. This translational program will develop novel therapies for liver fibrosis and cancer in collaboration with Pharma. The successful candidate will contribute to the project management of preclinical in vivo studies. Reporting to the institute’s animal facility manager, the assistant engineer will manage and assist in research project planning, communicate with participants and external organisations, develop study and ethical protocols and contribute to data analysis, review and report writing. A background in in vivo experimentation and disease biology is desired. Our program is based on key scientific discoveries described in: Mailly et al. Nature Biotech 2015, Nakagawa et al. Cancer Cell 2016, Aizarani et al. Nature 2019, Hamdane et al. Gastroenterology 2019, Crouchet et al. Nat. Commun. 2021, Jühling et al. Gut. 2021.

Profile
Candidate with a 3-year bachelor’s degree with the ambition to contribute to an innovative and exciting project in translational research. General knowledge of the principles and practices of health science and in vivo models and protocols. Ability to perform data collection processes and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (fluency in French is required, solid knowledge in written and spoken English is desired). Good management skills to serve as successful liaison between project, participants and external partners. You thrive in a fast-paced and exciting scientific environment with the opportunity for contributing to a biomedical translational research program.
